Stage 2: Qualifying Stage
By the end of the LAUCC Academy, teams will receive a qualifying case to solve within 6 days. This will act as a preliminary stage that will qualify top teams to solve the partners’ cases.
To ensure objectivity, our Judges Panel will review and grade the submitted case solutions based on a rubric available to students.
The committee will have no knowledge of the team members’ identities as they are encrypted with codes. Qualified teams will be shortlisted for the next stage of the competition.
Stage 3: Mentorship Program
Each qualified team will be randomly assigned to a professional from a top-tier management consulting firm.
The Mentorship Program will end before the beginning of the Partners’ Cases stage.
Stage 4: Partners’ Cases
Teams will have to virtually solve one case for the 3 partner companies they pick. Each case has to be solved in one day, upon which the PowerPoint/PDF must be submitted detailing the strategy. After the partnering companies filter their own top teams, finalist teams will have the opportunity to pitch their strategy to the partnering firms in person during Stage 5.
Stage 5: Closing Ceremony
At the end of the competition, finalists will be invited to attend a final event in-person at LAU Beirut Campus. During this event, finalists will pitch their solutions to the partnering companies. Companies will then choose their winning teams and announce them during an award ceremony. The winning team of each case will receive an internship or another prize from the partnering companies. The best team also wins a cash prize of 1000$. At the end of the event, all finalists have the chance to attend a networking coffee chat where partners share their experiences and provide insight into their field.
