Rules & Regulations


➤ ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • The competition is open to any current undergraduate student enrolled in a Lebanese university, regardless of major or academic background.

  • Students do not need to be physically present in Lebanon to participate, as the competition will take place virtually for the most part. Participants must, however, be registered in a Lebanese university.

  • Each participant must submit their CV through the registration link and pass the CV screening to proceed. Prior experience is not required.

  • A non-refundable symbolic registration fee is required from each participant.

  • Any use of fraudulent or misleading information in the registration form will result in disqualification.


➤ TEAMS REGISTRATION FORM

  • Teams must consist of 3-4 undergraduate students.

  • Team members may come from different universities and different majors.

  • Each team must designate a Team Captain, who will serve as the primary point of contact between the team and the organizing committee. The Team Captain is also a participating member of the team.

  • The team will be assigned a team ID to be used in all stages after team registration.

  • Each participant will be assigned a participant ID.

  • All participants must review and sign the PAP Agreement, confirming their commitment to the competition rules, deadlines, ethics, and participation requirements. Teams with incomplete PAP Agreements will not be eligible to proceed.

  • Only teams that pass the qualifying stage will advance to the official competition days.


➤ QUALIFYING CASE AND QUALIFYING PROCEDURE

  • All registered teams will receive a Qualifying Case, which will be sent via email and posted on each team’s virtual profile.

  • Each team must submit one case solution within the specified deadlines. Late submissions will not be accepted.

  • All submissions will be evaluated anonymously by a panel of consultants. Identifying information is removed to ensure fairness. Each case is corrected twice for accuracy and unbiased assessment.


➤ MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

  • Communication between the consultant mentor and the team will take place solely through a designated Case Team member.

  • Direct communication with the consultant mentor outside the approved channels is not permitted and may result in disqualification.


➤ COMPETITION

  • Once cases are distributed, teams must adhere to all deadlines and requirements. All submitted work must be completed entirely by the participating team members. Outside research is allowed.

  • If any portion of the case is completed by a third party, the entire team will be disqualified.

  • Each partner organization provides its own case and evaluation criteria. Teams will be assessed on quantitative, qualitative, analytical, organizational, and presentation skills.

  • LAU Case Competition’s organizing committees are not responsible for partner decisions regarding case evaluation or finalist selection.

  • Finalists selected by each Partner must present their pitch live to the Partner’s judging panel during the final event.

  • Awards will be distributed during the Award Ceremony. Details will be shared in advance.


➤ CERTIFICATES

  • All participants are eligible for an LAUCC Academy Workshop Certificate if they attended all 3 workshops presented before the qualifying case.

    • If an individual is unable to attend one of the workshops for a valid reason, their case will only be looked into if they inform the team via email before the workshops, along with the necessary evidence.

  • Each member of the each team that passed the qualifying stage will receive a Recognistion Certificate.

  • Members of each Partner Case winning team will receive a certificate, provided they attend the final event live.

    • If an individual is unable to attend the final event live for a valid reason, their case will only be looked into if they inform the team via email before the final event, along with the necessary evidence.

  • Members of the overall Best Team will receive a certificate.
